The Save the Sea campaign raises awareness of the importance of choosing sustainable seafood and supports EJF’s Oceans Campaign.
Celebrating World Oceans Day
The campaign is supported by restaurants around the UK who share a commitment to sustainability.
The campaign is premised on a simple concept - to partner with exceptional hotels and restaurants where fine dining is coupled with a commitment to ethics, and spread the word about the importance of sustainability and traceability in seafood.
Working together
This is a chance to celebrate our seas, their rich abundance of wildlife, and the vital role they play as the main source of food and income for millions of families and communities all over the world.
All of us, as consumers, have a fundamental role to play. Every time we choose sustainable seafood, we’re choosing to protect our oceans and the millions of species and people dependent on them, both now and into the future.
Now in its 6th year, the Save the Sea Campaign sees EJF partnering with restaurants, cafes, delis and Firmdale hotels where quality food is coupled with a commitment to ethics.
This year, we have teamed up with Firmdale Hotels, The Honours, Restaurant Martin Wishart, and Tom’s Kitchen Deli's. From June 8 for one month, these participating restaurants will be raising money for EJF’s Oceans Campaign by offering their customers the chance to add a £2 donation to their bill.
EJF’s Oceans Campaign supports fishermen in some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable coastal communities, and protects amazing wildlife species such as turtles and sharks that are vital to the future health and diversity of our global oceans.

We are taking part in EJF’s Save the Sea campaign as we strongly believe in keeping our oceans clean and we also recognise that we each need to take some responsibility for taking care of the planet.
